Welcome to Dereho. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Dereho mobile application and website at dereho.com (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Dereho ("we," "our," or "us").

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Dereho. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

2. Account Registration

• You may create an account using your email address, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

3. The Service

Dereho is an AI-powered travel planning platform that provides:

• AI Trip Generation — personalized travel itineraries created using Google Gemini AI based on your preferences, budget, and travel style.
• AI Travel Guide — an interactive chat assistant that answers travel-related questions about your destinations.
• Place Guides — AI-generated guides for specific landmarks, museums, and attractions.
• Landmark Identification — photo-based recognition of landmarks and places of interest.
• Interactive Maps — maps with routing, directions, and point-of-interest markers via Google Maps.
• Trip Collaboration — the ability to share and co-edit trips with other users.
• Phrase Translator — useful travel phrases in local languages.
• Weather Forecasts — real-time weather data for trip destinations.
• Offline Mode — downloadable trip data for use without internet (PRO feature).

4. Free and PRO Plans

4.1 Free Plan

All users receive a free plan that includes:

• 1 active trip.
• 10 AI chat messages per day.
• 100 energy tokens (refilled monthly).
• Access to free place guides.

4.2 PRO Plan

The PRO subscription unlocks:

• Unlimited active trips.
• 100 AI chat messages per day.
• Unlimited energy tokens.
• PDF trip export.
• Offline mode.
• Access to all place guides.

4.3 Energy Packs

Energy tokens are consumed when generating trips, using the AI chat, and unlocking guides. You may purchase additional energy packs as one-time in-app purchases. Energy tokens do not expire as long as your account remains active.

5. Payments & Subscriptions

• All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.
• PRO subscriptions auto-renew monthly or yearly unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's App Store settings.
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.
• We do not collect or store your payment card details.

6. AI-Generated Content

• AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only and should not be your sole source of travel planning.
• Always verify critical information (opening hours, visa requirements, safety advisories, prices) from official sources before traveling.
• We are not responsible for any losses, damages, or inconveniences arising from reliance on AI-generated content.
• Recommended routes and directions are suggestions — always use your own judgment and follow local laws and regulations.

7. User Conduct

When using Dereho, you agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts.
• Abuse, harass, or share harmful content through the collaboration or community features.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service (except authorized APIs).
• Circumvent rate limits, security measures, or access restrictions.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service or its content.
• Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful content.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Content

The Dereho app, website, brand, logo, design, and underlying technology are owned by Dereho and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary content without written permission.

8.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you create (trip customizations, photos you upload, feedback you submit). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

8.3 AI-Generated Content

Trip itineraries and other AI-generated content created for you through the Service are provided for your personal use. You may share, export, and use them freely for non-commercial purposes.

8.4 Third-Party Content

The Service incorporates content from third parties including Google Maps, Wikipedia, and other sources. Such content is subject to the respective third parties' terms of use and licenses.

9. Third-Party Services

Dereho integrates with the following third-party services:

• Google Gemini AI — for content generation and travel planning intelligence.
• Google Maps Platform — for maps, place data, and directions.
• Google Cloud Platform — for infrastructure and data hosting.
• Apple App Store — for app distribution and payment processing.
• Open-Meteo — for weather forecast data.

Your use of these services is also governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.

10. Account Termination

• By you: You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting us. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
• By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if required by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking action, except in cases of severe violations.

11. Disclaimers

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
• We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
• We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content, travel information, directions, or recommendations.
• Travel involves inherent risks. You are solely responsible for your safety and decision-making while traveling.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dereho shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use of or inability to use the Service.
• Any errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content.
• Unauthorized access to your account or data.
• Any third-party conduct or content.
• Travel-related incidents, losses, or injuries.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Dereho harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if unresolved, through binding arbitration or the appropriate courts.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
